There are several models of encrusters but all work on the same principles.
The model KN400 has been the most popular machine we sell as it is the most versatile. However, the new KN550
introduces faster production speeds, slightly simpler assembly and operation with 9 fewer components to clean, and a touch screen operator control panel.
Major improvements of model KN550 over KN400 –

Compound Head assembly – centred by Teflon bushes. Extruded material often off centre
to the conveyor belt.

New agitator support does away with wearing bushes and material is
better extruded straight to land centre of the conveyor belt.

The KN135 is a smaller version of the now replaced KN400
and although unable to handle elastic doughs, is fully suitable for most other savory and bakery products.
The KN550, KN400 and KN135 are of stainless steel construction and fully hoseable. They each have a single head which can
make up to a 300gram product as a single deposit (KN135 – up to 150gms). Both can handle a very wide range of materials.
The KN170 is a lightweight version of the encrusting
machines and is ideal for fast production of soft products such as confectionary, potato and cookie dough’s. It has an aluminum construction and is not fully hoseable – it is therefore not generally
suitable for meat and savoury products, although many companies still use them for potato and meat croquettes and filled Gnocchi.
Rheon offer test kitchen
facilities in Japan for a potential or existing customer to use to try products and refine them to their specifications. Most of our customers use these facilities as Rheon
do not charge for this service or for the materials used. This means that a customer can fully test his product for only the cost of an air fare and a couple of nights accommodation.
This is a significant advantage for the customer as - They can see their product running and know it will work the way they visualised it. They can bring back samples, or if it is
a quarantined product, they can take photo's or video's to bring back. We obtain a full list of the components used, which means there is no guesswork involved and also we can supply an accurate quotation. If any special parts are required, we become aware of it.
The customer can go immediately into production on receiving the machine instead of facing long development on an
unfamiliar machine.
A typical visit will only take 1.5 days of testing. This means a customer can leave for Japan on a weekend, test on Monday and
Tuesday morning, fly back over Tuesday night and be back in Australia/NZ on Wednesday morning with a fully developed product that he knows will run.
As the authorised Rheon dealer, we can arrange a test session at Rheon on your request.
